Opalized tuff

   General characteristics
    The opalized tuff belongs to the group of pyroclastic rocks. It is hydrothermically changed (altered) having the unique features of lighweight combined with hydroscopic and high porosity characteristics.

   Mineralogical structure
   The opalized tuff is constructed of the mineral tridemite, cristallobite, quartz, feldspar and limonite.

   Applications
   Chemical industry, cement industry, fire-resistant materials, filtration of drinking and waste water (as a replacement for the hydro-anthracite, in double and single-layer filters), thermal insulation material, filling agent in the rubber and dye industry.

   Packaging
   Natron and 1000 kg bags.
